3PL Operations

Running someone else's stock for a living. BizBloqs keeps every client separated, every activity measured, and every measured activity billed.

What does a 3PL need from a WMS?

A third-party logistics provider runs several clients' stock in one building. The warehouse management system must separate stock and work per client, apply each client's own process, and record every billable activity — receiving, storage, handling, shipping, returns — so an invoice can be produced from what actually happened.

  • Client-segregated stock, locations and reporting inside one warehouse
  • A different process per client without a separate system per client
  • Billable activity captured as it happens, not reconstructed monthly
  • Client portals and integrations fed from the same confirmed movements

Many clients, one building, zero leakage

Running someone else's stock for a living. BizBloqs keeps every client separated, every activity measured, and every measured activity billed.

Client separation that survives an audit

A third-party operation succeeds or fails on separation. Stock, orders, reporting and user access all have to be walled per client, while the physical building is shared and the labour is not.

BizBloqs enforces the client wall in the data rather than in the discipline of the team. A user sees the clients they are assigned to, stock belongs to a client at all times, and shared locations still resolve ownership at unit level.

That separation is what allows one operation to onboard a new client in weeks: the process is configured, not rebuilt.

Bill for what you actually did

Most 3PLs know they are under-billing and cannot prove where. Storage is measured, handling is estimated, and everything unusual is absorbed.

Every movement, count, repack and special handling step is recorded as a billable activity with a client, a tariff and a timestamp. The invoice is a report, not a reconstruction.

Client SLA dashboards use the same records, so the conversation about performance and the conversation about price are based on one set of numbers.

The problem

Client stock is only separated by a convention everybody forgets

WMS

Hard Client Segregation

Client walls enforced at stock, location and user level — one client can never see or pick another client's goods

Billable activity is reconstructed from notes at month end

Finance

Activity-Based Billing

Storage, handling, value-added services and shipping metered as they happen — the invoice builds itself

Every new client takes months to set up

WMS

Client Onboarding Templates

Processes, rates and integrations configured per client from a template — new clients live in weeks

SLA disputes come down to whose spreadsheet you believe

WMS

Per-Client SLA Dashboards

Receipt, dispatch and accuracy performance measured per client against the contract — one shared version of the truth

Each client wants a different integration and a different portal

Integration

Per-Client Integration Toolkit

EDI, API and file-based connections per client from the same toolkit — no bespoke build per contract

our 3PL Operations Features

Activity-Based Billing

Every movement, count and repack recorded as a billable activity with client and tariff

Client SLA Dashboards

Performance and price discussions based on one shared set of records

In addition to a scan procedure with EDI integration, BizBloqs has set up an entire production system for us. Production planning can provide direct instructions and as soon as they are ready, it all arrives in the OMS. This gives us a larger production capacity and a drastic reduction of the picking mistakes in dispatching.
