BizBloqs × Lightspeed

THE STORE AND THE WEBSHOP SELL THE SAME ITEM

Retailers running Lightspeed usually sell the same article in a store and online. When the last one goes over the counter, the webshop rarely finds out in time.

BizBloqs keeps one position for both channels and hands each of them the availability it can actually promise.

IS THIS YOU?

Who this Lightspeed integration is for

The last item on the shelf is on sale in two places at once.

  • You sell the same articles in-store and online.
  • Web orders are sometimes cancelled because the store sold the item first.
  • Store replenishment is arranged informally rather than as a warehouse order.

WHAT IS LIGHTSPEED?

RETAIL AND ECOM FROM ONE VENDOR

Lightspeed provides point of sale and eCom for retail and hospitality, with strong front-of-house tooling.

The back-of-house side — locations, reservations, scanned picking — is where a WMS belongs.

NO MORE SELLING THE SHOP FLOOR TWICE

Web orders are fulfilled from a warehouse position that already accounts for what the store sold and what is reserved.

Click-and-collect and store replenishment run as normal warehouse orders instead of favours arranged over the phone.

WHAT CHANGES ONCE LIGHTSPEED AND BIZBLOQS ARE CONNECTED

Orders, stock, fulfilments and returns move between Lightspeed and BizBloqs as they happen, over the official API.

Paid orders in within seconds

Paid orders arrive in BizBloqs within seconds and enter the pick wave without anyone exporting a file.

Sellable stock back per SKU

Sellable stock is written back per SKU from a counted warehouse position, which is what actually stops overselling.

Fulfilment with track & trace

When the parcel is packed, the fulfilment is posted with carrier and tracking, and the customer notification is triggered by a real shipment.

Partial shipments handled

Backorders and partial shipments are supported properly: what is available ships now, the rest stays visible as open.

Returns matched to the order

Returns are received against the original order line, with condition and reason recorded, so credits are based on facts.

One stock truth across channels

If you sell on more than one channel, they all read the same warehouse position instead of each holding their own optimistic number.

See it on your own order flow. Thirty minutes, screen share, no slide deck — or tell us where it hurts today and we will tell you honestly whether we can fix it.

E-commerce integration

How the Lightspeed integration works

Lightspeed customers usually sell in more than one place at once: a webshop, a physical store and sometimes a marketplace on the side. The warehouse is what those channels have in common, and it is where the stock question is actually settled.

Lightspeed eCom / Retail — API

REST API with an API key pair per shop, orders and stock per SKU

BizBloqs authenticates against the Lightspeed API with a key pair for your shop. Orders come in, products and variants come down for scanning, and availability is written back per SKU on the agreed refresh. Fulfilment with carrier and tracking is posted back so the order closes in Lightspeed, and store pickup or store-fulfilled orders can be excluded from the warehouse flow by rule rather than by hand.

What you need

  • A Lightspeed eCom or Retail account with API access
  • An API key pair issued for your shop
  • Unique SKUs and barcodes across channels
  • Agreement on how store stock and warehouse stock relate

Which messages are exchanged

This is the standard message set between BizBloqs and Lightspeed. Empty fields mean that message is not exchanged in that direction by default; optional rows depend on your modules, licence and process.

How we roll it out

  1. 1. Connect

We agree what is in scope and which system leads per object, then set up the technical connection on a test environment first, so you see real data move before anything touches your live operation.

  2. 2. Map and test

Fields, codes and exceptions are mapped and tested with your own orders, including the ones that normally go wrong.

  3. 3. Go live

We go live with your team on the floor and watch the first days closely.

Does your process fit this message set?

This is our standard Lightspeed integration. If you need messages that are not in the table, send us your list — we tailor integrations per customer through workflows and will tell you upfront what is standard and what is custom.

Integration FAQ

We sell in a physical store too — whose stock is shown online?

That is a rule, not a technical limitation. Most customers publish warehouse stock online and keep store stock separate; a shared pool is possible when the store scans as well.

Do click-and-collect orders reach the warehouse?

Only if you want them to. Pickup orders can be filtered out so the warehouse sees exactly the orders it has to ship.

What happens if the Lightspeed connection drops?

Messages are queued and replayed. Warehouse work continues in BizBloqs during an outage; the queue drains once the connection is restored, and failed messages stay visible instead of disappearing silently.

Can we change the standard message set?

The table above is our standard integration with Lightspeed. Extra messages, different field mappings or customer-specific rules are handled through workflows in BizBloqs — we tell you upfront what is standard and what is custom work.

How long does connecting Lightspeed take?

The connection itself is a matter of days. The realistic timeline is set by mapping and testing, and by how clean your product data and process agreements already are.

In addition to a scan procedure with EDI integration, BizBloqs has set up an entire production system for us. Production planning can provide direct instructions and as soon as they are ready, it all arrives in the OMS. This gives us a larger production capacity and a drastic reduction of the picking mistakes in dispatching.
