BizBloqs × Toyota Material Handling

TRANSPORT ORDERS WITH REAL PRIORITY

Automated vehicles move pallets well; deciding which pallet should move first is the warehouse's job.

BizBloqs WMS raises transport orders with real priority; Toyota Autopilot vehicles execute them and confirm pick-up, drop and exceptions back to the WMS.

IS THIS YOU?

Who this Toyota Material Handling integration is for

Toyota Material Handling knows what you own. It does not know where it is, who picked it, or whether the count was right.

  • You run Toyota Material Handling as your system of record and have no intention of replacing it.
  • Your warehouse still works from paper lists, Excel or the stock screen inside the ERP.
  • You ship to customers, webshops or marketplaces and need orders, stock and confirmations to stay in step all day.

This is what your Toyota Material Handling setup looks like from day one

See it on your own order flow. Thirty minutes, screen share, no slide deck — or tell us where it hurts today and we will tell you honestly whether we can fix it.

Internal transport integration

How the Toyota Material Handling integration works

Toyota Material Handling supplies the trucks that move your pallets: manual, semi-automated and fully automated Autopilot vehicles, with T-Matics as the fleet data layer. The integration is about internal transport — BizBloqs decides that a pallet has to move and why, the Toyota automation decides how the vehicle gets there safely.

Toyota Material Handling — automated trucks and fleet data

Transport orders to the automation controller; fleet and utilisation data read back

BizBloqs raises a transport request the moment the warehouse process needs one: a received pallet that has to go to bulk, a replenishment to a pick face, a finished pallet that has to reach the outbound dock before its cut-off. The request carries the source, the destination, the carrier identification and a priority derived from the order it serves — not a fixed FIFO queue. The Toyota automation controller accepts, queues or rejects it, then reports pick-up and drop as they happen, plus exceptions such as a blocked route or a load that is not where it was expected. Where T-Matics is in place, vehicle hours, throughput and utilisation can be read back so you can see whether the fleet is genuinely the bottleneck before buying another truck.

What you need

  • Toyota automation (Autopilot) with its controller available for host integration
  • An agreed map of pick-up and drop-off points, matched to BizBloqs locations
  • Network access between the BizBloqs environment and the automation controller
  • T-Matics access where fleet and utilisation data is in scope
  • A named contact at Toyota Material Handling for the interface and the safety scope

Which messages are exchanged

Task-driven and immediate. BizBloqs owns the order, the stock position and the priority; Toyota Material Handling executes the physical movement and confirms what actually happened.

Automated transport messages apply to automated vehicles only. On a mixed fleet, manual trucks are driven by operators on BizBloqs terminals and confirm the same movements by hand — the process is identical, the execution is not. Safety, navigation and obstacle handling remain entirely with the Toyota system.

This is our standard integration. An empty field means that message is not exchanged in that direction by default. Integrations can be modified or extended customer-specific through workflows.

How we roll it out

  1. 1. Site survey

We map the Toyota Material Handling equipment on your floor: models, controller software version, firmware and which interface options are actually licensed. This is where surprises normally live.

  2. 2. Interface agreement

We agree the exchange format and transport with the vendor or your service partner, and who owns which side of the connection after go-live.

  3. 3. Location model

The machine's internal storage structure is mirrored in BizBloqs so stock is addressable per tray, shelf, compartment or lane instead of hidden inside a black box.

  4. 4. Test cycle

Store, pick, partial pick, short pick, count and correction are all run on real equipment, including the failure paths: machine offline, tray blocked, operator overrides the quantity.

  5. 5. Go-live

We go live with your team on the floor and monitor task queues for the first days. A task that fails is visible and replayable — it is never silently dropped.

Does your process fit this message set?

This is our standard Toyota Material Handling integration. If you need messages that are not in the table, send us your list — we tailor integrations per customer through workflows and will tell you upfront what is standard and what is custom.

Integration FAQ

Does BizBloqs steer the vehicles?

No, and it should not. Navigation, safety and obstacle handling belong to the Toyota automation, which is certified for exactly that. BizBloqs supplies the transport order and the priority behind it.

Can automated and manual trucks work in the same process?

Yes. BizBloqs raises the same transport request either way; an automated vehicle receives it through the controller and a driver receives it on a terminal. The stock booking is identical.

What does T-Matics data add?

Evidence. Hours, throughput and utilisation per vehicle next to the warehouse workload shows whether transport capacity is the constraint or whether the layout and the wave planning are.

Who owns stock: BizBloqs or Toyota Material Handling?

BizBloqs. The machine knows what is physically in a tray or a lane; BizBloqs holds the stock position for the whole warehouse, including everything stored outside the automation, and reconciles the two on every confirmed movement.

What happens if the equipment is offline?

Work continues. Tasks stay queued in BizBloqs and orders that can be served from conventional locations keep flowing; the queue drains once the equipment is back. Nothing is confirmed that did not physically happen.

Do we have to replace our existing equipment?

No. The integration is built against the controller software you already run. We only ask for the interface option to be licensed and the version to be current enough to support it.

Can this run alongside conventional shelving?

Yes, and most sites do. BizBloqs treats the automation as one storage type among several and routes each line to whichever location makes the pick fastest.

Is this a partnership or an integration?

Toyota Material Handling is an integration, not a commercial partnership. We connect to the equipment on behalf of a shared customer; there is no reseller or referral relationship implied.

In addition to a scan procedure with EDI integration, BizBloqs has set up an entire production system for us. Production planning can provide direct instructions and as soon as they are ready, it all arrives in the OMS. This gives us a larger production capacity and a drastic reduction of the picking mistakes in dispatching.
